Xander Crayon
BIOGRAPHY
Alex Xander Jacobs (known variously as P.H.B., The Hidden Distance, xander crayon, etc...) enjoys creating songs that have an internally consistent engine of musicality, yet are expressed through various genres and styles. This year he incorporated the element of drone to create musical soundscapes of varying tones and feelings.

Completed Albums
Looking Out Looking In(2008)
Old Pyrate Songs Reinterpreted for the Modern Error.
It is my hope that this album conveys a cohesive spirit of expression, though the songs may be of varying styles.
Could also be described as:"Electronic - Beat Driven", "Instrumental", "Rock", " and "Jazz."
Lay Me Off(2009)
This was a very personal album. On February 2nd, 2009, I was laid off from my job that I worked at for almost 5 years. The songs represent the feelings that I experienced throughout the month, as I composed and recorded the album. It's a journey through initial manic elation, heading into depression, fear, and anxiety, culminating with hope, faith, and resolution.
Keys(2010)
Another year, another album. This feels like the most polished one yet. This year I rode on the swelling wave of higher confidence due to the cumulative post-"sound voice music healing" class energy in the world. That, and having a macbook, electric instruments, and a relatively settled life. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening!
Spectrum Ride(2011)
The most quickly accessible songs are located at the beginning of the playlist.
The original intent of this album is to cover a rainbow spectrum of emotion, from light to dark, and back to the combined white light. If you would like to experience the album, as a whole, in this format, please download the album and adjust your track list to reflect the following order:
Let Us Rise
Fly Inside
Lady Moon
Take Off Let Go
Unmasked
Rented Bones
Red Morning
Celtic Epic
Zebra Skeleton Imposter (Beefheart Homage)
Soaring
Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu (traditional)
